To become a JW you have to accept and in time dedicate yourself to that way of life. It is a huge step.
The people in the congregation will never accept you (at least not as this gal's BF) until you show yourself committed to the religion. They are firm believers in "marying only in the Lord" and this means only other JW's.
I personally view my spirituality/belief system as something too personal to compromise just to please someone else. It doesn't sound like she is coercing you to join which is great, but both of you will fee pressured to either commit to the religion or break off the relationship.
It is entirely your choice but weigh all options first. The JW circles do exert a lot of pressure on its adherents.
