Here is is (hopefully):
Rick,
This email is an appeal to you to investigate the activities of Moderator 14 and reconsider his/her position as Moderator, as per your instructions in this post of yours.
Evidently, M14 has had a notoriety for being biased and irresponsible since long before I came onto the board. A lot of complaints about him have appeared on the board, especially in the last few weeks. He seems to drop in in sudden spurts, where he deletes tons of messages and then disappears for a while. Is this responsible Moderating?
I'll start with one of my posts. This post of mine was deleted by M14. Yet it doesn't violate the FPP in any way.
Here are a few posts that were deleted, evidently, simply because an opinion was expressed concerning Moderator 14:
Is expressing an opinion on Moderator performance against the FPP? I don't see any violations. Going through the items in the list after my post above, I don't see how these
posts could have been construed as violations of
the FPP. Isn't it obvious that M14 removed these posts for a reason other than the FPP? What is that reason?
Here are a couple of M14 deletions that are particularly telling:
What
does this tell you, Rick? Do any of these violate the FPP? Isn't M14 violating the FPP himself by cutting off
"open" discussion?
M14 is also in the habit of deleting an entire thread, no matter how long, simply because one post in it seemed to violate the FPP. This was taken to the extreme in the thread, "Inexplicable". Do any of the following posts in that thread seem to you to violate the FPP?
The only post in that thread that seems to even come close to violating the FPP is Norm's original post. On the other hand, does it violate the FPP? As Jan (who's post was also deleted by the way) pointed out, the criticism, altough heavy, was directed at the system, not individual Witnesses. Excessive quoting? Perhaps. But I challenge M14 to demonstrate it since Norm had many comments sandwiched in between the quotes. This isn't responsible moderating- it's an out-of-control massacre of posts that come no where near violating the FPP.
Other posts seem to have been deleted by random. Here are a few, check them out:
Shouldn't this Moderator be at least required to explain these deletions and demonstrate how they violated the FPP? If they indeed violated it, it should be a simple task for him/her. On the other hand, if he cannot demonstrate it, how can he be found as anything but a biased moderator? Please help Rick.
