One must wonder WHY he didn't cite the patent number. One must wonder why NO ONE has cited that particular patent number. This is yet another urban myth which was publicized by the society to work
the masses into anger. This one is still around and has been around for nearly 3/4 of a century. Rutherford was sucked in or, if not sucked in, he wanted his dupes to be sucked in by it. Rutherford worked his follower's minds towards
hatred, fear and mosly, Divine liberation from all the gloom he talked about. (Sound familiar?) He chose to enroll the down-trodden ones into his one-man cult, and work them up into a frenzy in oder to sell his books. He, more than
anyone else, was responsible for the dumbing-down of his dupes. Now we can't have them actually THINK, can we?

I partially agree. I agree that he was the most malificent WTS leader ever. I'm not so sure that he was responsible for the "apostasy", however. I tend to think that it was there from the beginning. That is, if there such a thing as "apostasy" in the first place. Perhaps our Creator doesn't think in those terms.
BTW, my favorite book written by Da Judge is "Enemies." He excoriates EVERYONE. No one (except your local CO or local fundie) could be filled with more hate than him.
