Hi, I'm not terribly up on American foreign policy, but I had the impression that America needed the rest of the world as much as we need
America. Look at how panicked Clinton was about the Asian economic collapse - he jumped in and propped up the Yen dramatically at least once. Our nations are now very inderdependant on each other - at least financially, whether we like
it or not.
