WW: But that's one thing that makes me doubt evolution, or more specifically evolutionists. That's because every link in the chain is still here!

SeeJay: Evolution does NOT mean that when one species arises, its parent species immediately becomes extinct. Instead, species split off from each other like tributaries from a river.

WW: And scientists who have the opportunity to create any laboratory condition they want have failed to inspire or induce any kind of life form from inorganic matter.

SeeJay: These scientists do not have laboratories the size of the earth's surface and they have not had hundreds of millions of years to perform their experiments. It is therefore hardly surprising that we have failed to produce life from non-life.

In any case, the theory of evolution does not NEED the origin of life to be naturalistic. As far as evolution is concerned, life could have been created initially by God. Evolution just takes over from there.

WW: On the other hand, the Bible says God created things to procreate "after their kind" and that's exactly what we have today. No cross-species evolution going on.

SeeJay: Unless you define SCIENTIFICALLY what a "kind" is then what you are saying makes absolutely no sense.

Also, you are mistaken to expect "cross-species evolution" to be occurring "today". How long do you think evolution takes? Hours? Days? Years? You would have to live a very long time to watch a major speciation event.

WW: ...evolution is simply too stupid an idea for anyone with the least bit of critical scientific knowledge.

SeeJay: So you are saying that the millions of scientists around the world who use evolutionary biology every day are wrong and you are right, because as far as you are concerned "evolution is a stupid idea".

Why don't you give a reasoned argument based on evidence instead of ranting based on ignorance. You will need a basic understanding of evolutionary biology -- try the local library.

Cheers ---- SeeJay
