Hi Andrew,
It is really comical, in a sad sort of way, to see how the WTS explains how they arrive at these ever-changing 'truths'. They throw out a few scriptures showing how the apostles didn't have complete understanding even though they were under the direction of the holy spirit. And naturally, the loyal dubs eat it all up. But logical examination of this concept brings one to a different conclusion. For example, if one does not understand what would be the proper Christian stance on an issue, let's say for example the issue of alternative service, then one would not make any decisions about it either way. To do so would be 'running ahead' of God, the way that the WTS did on this issue. Or the vaccination issue. Or the organ transplant issue. These are all issues that the WTS issued definitive statements on, then ended up reversing their stance years later. If they had simply left these issues alone until such time as they had 'full understanding', then the 'meat in due season' concept could be argued more logically from a scriptural standpoint. In other words, if they are who they claim to be(Jehovah's spirit- guided channel) they would have left these issues alone until God gave them the understanding to make a ONE-TIME policy regarding these issues that wouldn't have to be changed at a later date.
Just my view,

Harold
