Good points. Even more: why hammer on the RCC insistence on using the Vulgata exclusively, when he himself insists on the King James?
I'm also wondering about the source for the claim that the RCC forbid people to read the Bible.
I am not saying it is false, I just haven't seen it in any credible sources.
