The doc I know feels she is not in a position to force her beliefs on her patients. While she has a personal objection to blood it is still considered "standard medical care" therefore she feels that the average person would not object to this treatment. If conscious she will ask (standard consent to treatment form includes blood therapy).
I personally feel it is a thin line but admire her for following her conscience and not trying to make everyone follow her beliefs.
