Gary-
:I expect to see something to show that
I guess this means that you have not read my threads "Do You Believe", "Dating The Bible" (split in two sections, "Digging it back up", and "More Archaeology" also in two sections.
They're all still on the board. Gary, there are at least 9 different methods of absolute dating that I listed. How much interpretation is involved in counting tree rings? You are familiar with that aren't you? Someone who depends upon
interpreting a two thousand year old collection of writings is hardly on solid, orthodox ground when it comes to the problem of interpretation. Thet think it is something else? Why don't you look at it yourself and see what you think it is
instead of going on someones hearsay and generalizations. Skulls, arrowheads, pottery, all intact. Thousands of finds like these and other artifacts. Read my posts. They are meant to send you to the library and bookstore to the archaeology
section. To see the evidence, it's clarity, it's astronomical volume and then continue to pretend that man has only been here 6000 years, or that everyone spoke the same language until 2269 BC or so, or that all these things were
underwater for five months or whatever it was supposed to be in 2379 BC- well it's insane. Look at the photographs of the hundreds of items. Study them. Ask yourself if you really think there is a misunderstanding or a hoax. There is so
much, Gary, so much of it. We can sit here typing over the internet and talk about how stupid "science" is. And writing-in different languages prior to 2269 BC, the presumed time of the tower of Babel.
The skipping a link. -As I pointed
out before, just because you don't know where I am now doesn't mean that I'm in your living room. In other words, what we don't know about what we've dug up over the past thirty years doesn't prove that we didn't dig anything up. There are
thousands of separate finds. There is pottery 11,000 years old. Clear arrowheads and axeheads. Neanderthals were all over Europe. Their brain case was larger than most of ours. We don't know why they aren't here. Most of them didn't
drowned. They were deliberatly buried in many instances. Read my posts, then scan some archaeology books, recent ones. However you want to interpret The Bible, especially ancient chronology, you may want to do it different. Try Schroeders
book WW was talking about. I think it's "Genesis, the Big Bang, and The Bible" something like that. I don't suscribe to his beliefs but you might. He says Abraham was born in 1948 BC and the modern state of Israel was established in 1948
CE and that is supposed to mean something. But he doesn't beef with the absolute ocean of data about man's preliterate history. And no, it wasn't a sudden process- "Let's be civilized and build a tower" nothing indicates that. From
another standpoint, though, biologists think evolution speeds up the more complex it gets. I would refer you to "The Spiritual Machine" on this one. Some really good math points there. Simple, really- Are you familiar with exponents,
factorials? 2x2 or even 25x25 is not much but 10,000,000x10,000,000 is. 5! is not much but 100! is. You've heard the idea of being paid a penny for the first days work and double it everyday for thirty days? I totals around 11 million
dollars for the 30 days. But whatever happened and why, our interpretation of ancient Jewish history is not more solid that the laws of Physics. Read my reply to A7p "About this FPP" for some commentary on the Creation being the truly
readable Word of God.
