Kathy, Jean and Richard Betton

Dick is my email-pal. We met over emails discussing Turkey many years ago. Then one day, I went to the US to visit my brother, who was doing his doctoral fellowship at Duke University. Dick drove from Virginia to say hello. Along with my cousin Kenneth, we dropped by the Betton clan in Greensboro, North Carolina.

A year later, Dick and wife Jean came to Malaysia. They were on a cruise ship and docked in Port Klang. We met under the world's tallest flagpole at Merdeka Square. This time, they met the Ti clan in Kuala Lumpur.

One day I hope we will meet again. Until then, we still keep up with each other's lives by writing emails.
