Greetings from Brisbane

Dear friends,

Happy Year of the Rat!

Hello everyone! It is 2008! How time flies!

I started the year in Malaysia. At midnight, we were having a quiet teh tarik at an open air stall in Kuala Lumpur when fireworks lit the sky. Everyone started saying 'Happy New Year' to each other. It was a nice way to start the year.

Now, it's back to work in Brisbane. We are having winter now. It's cold in Brisbane and I am hibernating (and writing!).

Yes, I am still working as Communications Consultant Web at the Redland City Council, south of Brisbane.

I live in the city, by the river. It's great to have a place to call my own. I get along well with the people in my building. There are seven flats and the people are very friendly. We are like a community here and I never feel alone.

Do come and visit. I would love to have some visitors to my new home!
