Interesting Tidbits:
#1 By age eleven he had joined the community choir, and was starting to take voice lessons. Soon he became involved in the children’s singing troupe called Mississippi Showstoppers.
#2 In school, Lance was a good student, but liked performing more than studying.
#3 In high school, he joined the show choir Attache.
#4 Lance once hoped to go to college and study aeronautics with the dream of one day becoming an astronaut.
#5 Lance was 16 when his voice coach mentioned to him about another student named Justin Timberlake, who was in a group with four other guys in Orlando and they needed a young bass voice to complete the group.
#6 In an attempt to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut, Lance began negotiations with the Russian Space Agency in February 2002. He passed the initial medical tests, and moved to Russia to begin cosmonaut training.
#7 Lance finished his training in mid-October and returned to the states a certified Cosmonaut, making him officially eligible for space travel aboard a Russian Soyuz Capsule. Unfortunately, due to a number of logistical conflicts his mission was scratched.

Lance on his hometown: Everyone knows everyone. I was born in a really small town in southern Mississippi where you didn't have to keep your doors locked and you didn't have to worry about murders and things like that. As a kid I was very secure. I wasn't scared of anything.

Lance says: The Sky is the limit.
