Krist Anthony Novoselic was born on the 16th of May 1965 in
Compton, California to Croation
immigrants Krist and Maria. Krist had
a younger brother Robert and an even younger
sister Diana born 1973.
The family moved to Aberdeen in '79 and Krist's dad got
a job as a
machinist in a lumber mill. His parents got worried about
his
depression and sent him to relatives in Croatia in 1980
where he learned Croation
and moved back home a year later.
He liked to party and drink and then bought a car, some stereos
and a guitar and took guitar lessons from Warren Mason who also taught Kurt.
He graduated from high school in '83 and his parents divorced.
After he graduated, he got a job at Fosters painting Company.
