Kurt was born in Feb. 1967 in a small town called Aberdeen / Hoquiam 140
kilometres away from Seattle. His parents divorced when he
was nine and he found himself moving from one relative
to the other and one night was forced to sleep under a bridge(So he says).
Kurt had many friends at high school but when he moved schools, did not fit in.
He had good friends and once joined a cult briefly. In 89',
Nirvana (plagued by drummer problems), made up of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and Chad Channing
released their first album, Bleach. Dale Crover played drums in three tracks and although Jason Everman was credited, he played no part in the recording. Two years after Nirvana
had replaced Channing for former Dain Bramage drummer Dave Grohl and became the first non-mainstream band to join Geffen Records
and released Nevermind. The album sold over 10 million copies and
gave Nirvana overnight success. Cobain started taking Heroin
in the early 90's and in 1992 went to Hawaii and married 'Hole' member
Courtney Love. Later that year the band released Incesticide.
Shortly after Cobains daughter was born, Frances Bean Cobain. Cobain liked
guns and had some of his own and in confiscation. In 1993 Nirvana released In Utero and
went on a European tour and after twenty concerts, Cobain developed
stomach problems and the tour was interrupted.
On March the 4th Cobain was rushed to hospital in a coma after what
had been labelled an unsuccessful suicide in which he washed down 50
painkillers with champagne in Rome. Several days later he returned to Seattle.
Kurt joined a detox program in LA and fled after only a few days
into it. He was seen in Seattle with a shotgun. Days later he went
into a small room above his garage and supposebly ended it all with an overdose of black tar heroin and a shotgun blow to the roof of his mouth.
He was found on the 8th of April by an electrician named Gary Smith who peered
through the window and thought Kurt was a manekin until he saw a spot of blood near his ear. He called the police. They found a ''suicide'' note
ended by the words "I love you, I love you". Kurt thought Frances would be better off without him.
