MY ARCADE CABINET
THE MONITOR
This is a photo of the arcade cabinet's power supply unit.  It looks similar to a typical computer power supply , but it is a bit larger.  Also notice (in this photo and many others) the sloppy and disorganized state of all of the wires.  I have really been meaning to tidy this up...I've just been too busy studying.  OK, I've been too busy studying and playing arcade games! ;)
This is a photograph of the isolation transformer.  I learned how important this was, because the previous owner had attempted to use the monitor without one-and he blew it!  I was very careful to connect this part properly, as I did not want to blow the monitor again immediately after repairing it.  Isolation transformers are overlooked by many people that are attempting to connect their monitors to their computers, and understandably are not experts on classic arcade monitors.  Not only can bypassing the isolation transformer blow the monitor, it also produces the potential for fire and serious electric shock, so be very careful!
