Funeral services at her late residence, No. 211 East 58th St., on Thursday, March 1, at 1 P.M. ABOUT HER DEATH: Harriet Coons died about a year and a half after the birth of her third son, Frank. He was born on October 3, 1885. Family stories said her death was said to have been related to her children somehow. In fact, she died from pneumonia as a complication of measles. Her sister Catharine Coons never married and lived with Harriet's husband Uriah Tompkins and his three sons. They are together in the 1900 and 1920 census in NYC. Later, though, Catharine was living back in Salt Point, NY. in the 1930's. RESIDENCE: Feb 26, 1887, at date of death, 211 E. 58th St., NY. She was born on 24 November 1851 at Ancram, Columbia County, NY. As of 27 February 1878,her married name was Tompkins. She married Uriah Washburn Tompkins, son of William Tompkins and Jane Merritt, on 27 February 1878. Harriet Lavina Coons died on 26 February 1887 at Manhattan, NYC, NY, at age 35.
