Thank God Easter is over for another year! Talk about hectic, I had four days of non-stop showing, three of those I was the Show Secretary for! By Monday I was exhausted and missed my first General Specials day at the Royal for many years.

Special congratulations to Leigh Foster on winning 1st place in the new Seniors 18-21 years handler class at Sydney Royal.
A little birdy tells me that our BISS winner Tuffy, won his first All Breeds BIS recently. Well done to Jim & handler Steven.
Some of our newer members have been having some good results, and it is good to see them submitting them for the newsletter. If I missed any guys I apologise in advance, I seem to loose things these days!

57th Championship Show Judge: Mrs Wendy Cain (UK) I would like to thank the hard working committee for their help and support and congratulate them on producing an excellent show with a super atmosphere. My placings were generously accepted by all the exhibitors and I think a genuine fun time was had by all, after all this is only a hobby. There is always one exception and we have to forgive such rude behaviour and put it down to ignorance. I should just like to quote from the dictionary (be it an English one) “‘Jaunty’ sprightly; briskly; pleased with life.” I interpret this as meaning lively, keen, and not as, bouncing up and down going nowhere, as some would have it. All this said, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. CLASS 1 :Baby Puppy Dog PHOTO 1 Brown P A & P King NEOKARMA DARE DEVIL Bright gold baby who will grow into a very nice pup. Perfect mouth, good shoulder placement, nicely balanced, good tail set. Moved like a baby puppy should, naughtily. Dark eyes with good shape, front and rear angles well matched giving correct jaunty movement. Good tail set, level topline, excellent rib cage. Presented well. 2 McGregor Miss J B LYNGALA LENNI CRAVITZ Gold sable, nice head properties but mouth not his fortune, coat ok good texture, more body would suit this dog better. 3 Brown P & P King NEOKARMA CAPED CRUSADER Michaelis Mrs A M SINGTUK SER KANG TAKPO CLASS 5 :Intermediate Dog PHOTO 1 Grundig J C CH NAHEMJA NUTN BUT TWUBLE Gold, stunning Lhasa, entered the ring with such presence, best of heads, excellent mouth, correct skull width, well arched, strong neck which he carried to his advantage, excellent lay of shoulder and upper arm, straight forelegs, well ribbed, short strong loin, correct tail set, perhaps the best quarters of the day sweeping to well let down hocks, tight feet, excellent pasterns which gave him the jaunty, easy movement I was looking for. Moved around the ring with ease and confidence, it was my pleasure to award him the CC and BIS. 2 Longmire Mrs J & M Camac CH AMESEN ITS MY PARTI Gold/white part, beautiful headed Lhasa, excelled in balance and outline. Good body proportions throughout, good shoulder but a little steep in upper arm, excellent coat, just preferred the overall movement of winner. 3 York P & N Estatheo BABANGA DOLOMITE Gardiner Mrs J JOGAR JUST MY GUY CLASS 10 :Australian Bred Dog PHOTO 1 Dyer J CH NAHEMJA ADDINGTON WALLIS Slate grey dog with a fabulous outline and balance, excellent shoulders and front assembly, good depth of chest, excellent ribbing, typical head, looked an absolute picture standing but needed more animation on the move. Superb head, good length of muzzle to skull, liked his nose placement, dark eye and shape, long, arched neck, well angulated fore and aft, level topline, in good muscular condition which was lacking in many of the dogs today, moved round the ring with style. Presented to perfection. Not a lot between these two babies. Both were excellent in construction and fitted the standard well, could change places on another day. Liked their heads, mouth, and overall qualities. Wow, my find of the day, just fell in love with this superb young lady, with maturity will surely take all before her. By my open dog winner and with many of his excellent qualities. Dripping in coat, blackest of pigment, lovely head and mouth, strong neck sweeping into excellent shoulders and upper arm, well ribbed up, strong short loin, good tail set and carriage, excellent quarters, strong straight hocks, no weekness anywhere. She graced the ring with her presence, movement was a dream. She had that arrogance that was not going to be overlooked. Res CC 2 McGregor Miss J B LYNGALA LUVS A PRINCESS Gold brindle. Excellent bitch full of quality, loved her shape, head, spring of rib, tail set, has it all. Just pipped to the post by a whisker.
