Please Note: For Federally funded projects, only the Federal Wage decisions can be used and can only be used to compare to the State Journeyman's Wage Determination. If the State Journeyman's rate is higher than the Federal Wage Decision, then the State Wage Rate "Must be Paid". Basic Rule: The higher of the two rates must be paid.

Meaning of the "Asterisk" following a Wage Determination
When referencing the prevailing wage determinations, which was in effect on the "Bid Advertisement Date", has a
"Single Asterisk" (*)
after the expiration date, the rates will be good for the life of the project. However, if the prevailing wage determination has a "Double Asterisk (**)
after the expiration date, the rates must be updated on the following dates to reflect the change.
