La Grange Highlands Civic Association
Lyons Township, Cook County, IL, USA
The La Grange Highlands is an unicorporated residential community located immediately south of the Village of La Grange and west of the City of Countryside.  It is in Lyons Township, Cook County, IL, USA.  The Highlands covers an area of about 600 acres...one of the largest unicorporated areas in the Cook County.  The community received its name "Highlands" because of its high elevation.  It is 690 feet above sea level, 90 feet higher that Chicago's loop, and 20 feet higher than the Village of La Grange.  Most of the land in the area is developed.  Highlands homes are predominately situated on half acre lots and there are very few parcels of vacant land remaining.

The La Grange Highlands has no governmental body because it is an unincorporated area.  The Civic Association was formed to provide the community with an organization to represent the residents and serve as the voice of the people.  It has no political affiliation.

The Association encourages residents to be "good neighbors" by observing zoning ordinances, street signs and speed limits in the area, and controlling their pets.
