28 Oct Walked 21 miles Once again Crystal was supposed to go farther, but turnedack early because of pain.  Teri as usual up with the runners and did the full 23 miles.  Luckily Teri made both of us stretch out after the run so the aches the next day weren't so bad.  But then we realized we had tickets to "The Flower Drum Song" the same day.    We napped most of the afternoon and made it to the show, but I know I would have been just as happy sacked out on the couch.

4 Nov
Walked 8 miles Crystal actually got through 8 miles without pain. Yea, what a good thing!  Teri of course ran with the group.  Pretty boring week after all.

11 & 12 Nov 10 mile week Crystal was in Daytona Beach for her college reunion. So the only logical thing to do was to run along the beach.  So her mom drove 10 miles down A1A and dropped her off.  So they only thing to do was run back to the hotel.  It was an amazing view with an airshow overhead for the last part of the run.

Teri didn't fare as well.  She ran Monday due to prior commitments but only made it several blocks before finding an errant piece of plastic that caused her to trip.  The knee that got hurt the worst was the same one she hurt before.  Hopefully not too bad.

17 Nov Jogged/walked 26.2 miles Teri had gone off to the wilds of Puerto Rico, well not really the wilds, but far away from Redondo Beach leaving Crystal all alone for the long run.  Granted Teri had made all these plans months in advance, but still.

Crystal made the big decision to go on Saturday, even though the pace group was going to go on Sunday.  Partly this was because there were  a crew of walkers from Long Beach so Crystal knew she would have company if she had to walk most of the way.  Plus she didn't want to have to do a marathon on Sunday and then go to work on Monday.

The whole course took 7 hours 32 minutes and 52 seconds to complete, but a marathon distance was covered!!  The jogging was done actually just to use different muscles than walking.  The pace group the next day did the distance in just over 7 hours even at the "slower" run/walk ratio they went out at.

25 Nov Ran/walked 8 miles  Teri was still in Puerto Rico, but Crystal met up with the pace group this week.  The doc had declared the walking cast a thing of the past so she was up for trying to run again.  The muscle protested greatly as they hadn't been used in so long, but the endurance was certainly still there.  The group did a 1 minute run/4 minute walk pace.  This next week they will strive for a 1:3 pace hopefully.  Only 1 more run in CA before the big day!!
