- February
1995 : An announcement was published in Liverpool's subscriber
magazine "Anfield Confidential" in order to find Liverpool's friends
in Greece with purpose of creating a local branch.
- April
1995 : After the forming of a small kernel of interested people,
contact with Liverpool began to create the "HELLENIC BRANCH" . At
the same time announcements relative to that, were published in the
press in order to find interested people from throughout Greece.
- October
1995 : The Branch is recognized by Liverpool F. C. with the name
"LIVERPOOL F.C. - INTERNATIONAL SUPPORTERS CLUB / HELLENIC BRANCH",
as a recognized branch of Liverpool's world net (International Supporters
Club), having as a logo Liverpool's shield surrounded by two Hellenic
flags.
- November
1995 : The branch is officially recognized by the Greek State,
with the fullname "PANELLADIKOS SINDESMOS FILON LIVERPOOL", with the
same logo.
- December
1995 : After the fortifying of the branch and big response from
all the Greek fans, the subscription of members started from all over
Greece and each one received a membership card.
- January
1996 : The edition of the bi-monthly members magazine "KOKKINI
ARMADA (RED ARMADA)" started, was given free to all members of the
branch, including subjects concerning the team of today and the glorious
past. This attempt attracted positive comments from the press, which
was great promotion to the club. A
memorabilia exhibition was organized to retrospect Liverpool's
historic past in the hall of the "Athletic Reporters Organization"
in Athens. Hundreds of collector's items were exhibited, such as books,
match programmes, clothes, video tapes, accessories etc. Games and
documentaries about the team were shown. The public attendance was
amazing, when hundreds of people, famous and anonymous Greek people
visited the place of the exhibition and were stunned at the wealth
of material and the perfect organization. The event provoked very
enthusiastic comments from the media and was highly promoted by them
and the Greek Television Network.

1996 : Began the weekly radio broadcast "KOKKINI ARMADA (RED ARMADA)"
on the sport radio station SPRINT FM with news and skips from Anfield.
- March
1996 : On the 15th of March a celebration was organized, to commemorate
Liverpool's 104 years of life, at the Red
Lion Bar in Athens. Over 350 friends came to pay honour while
the event was sponsored and promoted by the sports press. During the
event, the 2nd issue of "RED ARMADA" magazine was presented, including
an article from the great IAN RUSH congratulating our branch.The branch
opened it's own office at
the center of Athens, in Omonia Square, at 54 Menandrou str., 2nd
Floor, Office 13, which has becaome the home base of the branch.
- April
1996 : The first visit of the branch to Liverpool was organized
with great success, in order to attend the games against Coventry
City (away) and West Ham (Anfield).
During the visit, the members of the branch visited Anfield's historical
places, the legendary Liverpool's supporters club and other important
places of the city of Liverpool. A representative of the branch, honored
Ian Rush for all the years of
devoted service at the Reds and had a conversation with the veteran
ace Sammy Lee.

1996 : An unexpected meeting outside Anfield stadium, with the
Liverpool F.C. ex-General Secretary and today's Exec. Vice Chairman,
Peter Robinson. Same day, same place as above but the guys that had
travelled to Liverpool, had the chance to meet the legendary ex-Liverpool
captain John Barnes and had a chat with him.

1996 : The second exhibition
memorabilia in Salonika city, was held inside the exhibition ballroom
of the newspaper "Sports of the North Greece". So many people - famous
and anonymous - visited the exhibition which was again advertised
by the media and promoted by the press and Television.
- August
1996 : The branch organized its second trip to Liverpool, to attend
the matches against Arsenal and Sunderland. During their stay in Liverpool,
a representative of the branch, honoured the veteran ace Tommy
Smith for his long years of service at the club and Steve
Mc Manaman as the best player of the season 1995-96. The branch
also visited the training ground of the team, "Melwood", and met all
the players and the coaching staff. Also, the legendary newspaper
"Liverpool Echo" printed a two page article with photographs about
our branch's activities. At the end, our members met the legendary
Liverpool's ex-player Billy Liddell
.
- October
1996 : The branch celebrated its first year anniversary and organized
a party at a central Athens bar, with a great show of members. The
event was highly promoted by the press and Television. The branch
took part in the big exhibition "Athletica
96" which took place at the "Peace and Friendship" Stadium, at
Piraeus city and presented its activities to the thousands of visitors
to the exhibition.

1996 : The weekly radio broadcasting "RED ARMADA", began at Salonika
city, at the COOL FM Radio Station.
- December
1996 : Legandary ex-Player Tommy Smith, was officially announced
Honorary President of our Branch. After some months of existence,
the club opened another club office in Salonika City, in order to
cover the needs of the supporters from Northern Greece.
- January
1997 : The branch published the 5th issue of "Red Armada" club
magazine including a very special pull-out tribute to the great Bill
Shankly, probably the greatest ever personality in Liverpool's history.
- March
1997 : The branch organized a trip to Norway for the members,
to attend the European Cup tie against Brann Bergen for the E.C.W.C.
Quarter Final. On the 15th, a celebration was organized to commemorate
Liverpool's 105 years of existence. The happening was held at the
"Sail in" club in Piraeus city. More than 300 members joined the party
to honour the greatest football club in the world. The event was highly
promoted by mass media.

1997 : A photography exhibition concerning the Reds Historic events,
was organized in the central club office in Athens. Hundreds of photos,
posters and memorabilia were presented and the public attendance was
great.
- August
1997 : Another group travelled to Anfield. This time 25 members
took part and first watched the away fixture against Wimbledon and
the home match against Leicester. Five of the club members had the
unique chance to visit Bill Shankly's house. His wife Nessie welcomed
them and after a short chat, she presented them a magnificent collection
of the great man's personal items.

1997 : A characteristic photograph of members of the Hellenic
Branch having Parthenon and Acropolis in font, was included in the
I.S.C. stationery, which was
proudly presented at the Liverpool Visitors Center.
- February
1998 : One more group of members travelled to Anfield for a match
against West Ham Utd.
- September
1998 : The Liverpool veteran player of the '80s and the '90s and
ex-Captain of the team, Ronnie Whelan, visited the club office. He
was named Hon. Secretary of the Branch and was awarded
with a statue, in a very happy atmosphere. A small group of members,
travelled to Kosice, Slovakia to join 250 supporters from England
who followed Liverpool for the UEFA Cup, first round tie against local
club, 1 F.C.Kosice. Liverpool won 3-0 at that match.

1999 : Gareth Roberts,
the ex-Liverpool F.C. youngster (now with Tranmere) who had just signed
with the Greek club Panionios F.C., visited the club office. The atmosphere
was really great and the guy was enthusiastic.

1999 : During the Norway national team's training in Athens (2
days before the Euro 2000 qualifiers round fixture), a group of members
met Liverpool's Norwegian player Vengard Heggem and had a talk about
Liverpool's affairs. The assistant manager of the club, Phil Thomson
and the club's chief scout Ron Yeats (the famous "collosus"), met
in Athens with some of the club members and discussed the latest Liverpool
facts.

1999 : A coincidental meeting in Athens, including "King" Kenny
Dalglish, Ronnie Whelan, Paul Walsh and members of the club, finished
with a supper, full of memories and enthusiasm.

1999 : The club office
in Salonika, was transferred to a bigger and modern place, with better
facilities.
- August
1999 : In the beginning of the new season the Greek Liverpool
supporters, were present at the away match against Sheff. Wednesday
and home tie against Watford. During their stay, a young boy's dream
came true, when he had a meeting in person with Robbie Fowler his
favourite player. At the end, our members met the veteran player Alan
Kennedy.

the ex-Liverpool legendary player came in Athens as a manager of the
Real Madrid at the time to face Olympiakos of Piraeus in a Champions
League Group match. So members of the branch had the unique chance
to meet big Tosh

2000:The branch reward Phil Thompson
at Mellwood for his long serving at the club as an ex-player and as
the team's current manager
- September
2000:We organized a trip with 19 persons in Rumania to attend
the away Uefa Cup game Vs Rapid .
- November
2000:Liverpool drew to face the Greek champions Olympiakos of
Piraeus for the 3rd round of the Uefa Cup competition 1ST leg was
in Athens so some of our members went to saw their idols at the airport
arrival, other were lucky to watch the training
section's & the press interviews before
the match But most of us were happy to saw Liverpool
at the Olympic stadium of Athens getting a good result for the
2nd leg at Anfield. After the game few members had the unique chance
to meet an ex Anfield legend Peter Bearsdley.

2000:It's the 2nd leg at Anfield and Olympiakos with their chief
executive Mr Petros Kokalis paid respect to the 96 LFC fans victims
by leaving flowers at Hillsborough memorial.
Some of our members went & saw the game which ended with a liverpool
2-0 victory.
- January
2001:We organized a new year's celebration at our main club office.
Lots of members attend the party and 2 of them were lucky enough to
win the draw prizes!
- February
2001:In Rome we always win in Rome. This time it was Owen who
gave the reds a hat-trick of wins in red's Roman's history by scoring
two brilliand goals against A.S.Roma.Few members were
there among with 5.000 thousands scouser fans & leave the grate
moments of another glorious victory. --- Just a day after another
glorious night in Rome the scouser pop singer & Liverpool F.C. fan
Melanie-C comes to Greece for two concerts.
One in Athens & one in Salonica Both times members were there to celebrate
with Mel the Liverpool's European success --- It s the Worthington
cup final & its the 1ST trophy of the season for the mighty reds.
Unfortunately none of our members went in Cardiff but two of our committee
members had their hands in the trophy

2001:Liverpool F.C. goes to Portugal to face Porto in the quarter
finals of the uefa cup.Again a group of members follow
the reds in another important european match --- Members travelled
at Anfield & saw the reds making the league double of wins against
the Mancs.
- May
2001:we r going to cardiff twice & this time is the f.a cup final.
Owen scored two great late goals and won the cup for liverpool Tremendous
atmosphere by the liverpool fans, among them we were few that
live the magician moments that only an f.a.cup final can brings. ---
Now its time for the cup treble! 40 Greeks ,we were in Dortmund at
Westfallen stadium and saw the reds achieving the
uefa cup after winning 5-4 Alaves of spain at extra time in a
golden goal rule .It was without a doubt the most dramatical final
ever! --- Few of us were there in the most important game of the season
and were happy to see the reds finish the season with style after
a 4-0 thrashing victory at valley against charlton
which secured us a place for the champions league in next season ---
Time for real celebration it's the end of a fantastic month &the end
of a superb season! What a better way to celebrate than being in the
city of Liverpool and wait to see close the open
bus tour with the players and the coaching staff raising the 3
cups 500.000 liverpool fans & few of us were there to leave the experience!

2001:England played in Athens against Greece for the world cup
qualification group match. Members had again another chance
to meet their idols.
- August
2001:
Cardiff belongs to Liverpol. Another trophy for the mighty reds, this
time was the charity shield against the Mancs. We watched the match
live on telly at our club's offices. What a joy to see Sammy
Hyypia lifting the trophy. --- It's
the 5 th cup for the mighty reds in 6 months!
This time was the Uefa Super Cup that Liverpool
won after winning in the final at Monaco 3-2 the Champions league
holders Bayern Munich

2001: We watched another game live at office, this time was a
game between national teams of Germany and England at Munich. England
sock the world with a 5-1 victory But at the end of the game it seemed
it was Germany VS Liverpool cause all the English goals were scored
by Liverpool's 3 lions!

2001: The branch produsing a weekly radio broadcasting at 90,4
FM in Piraeus Channel 1 radio station. The programme covers branch
& anfield news & also offerig draw prizes.
- November
2001: The branch organized ellections for new comittee in our
club office at the same day that reds played man u at anfield in a
premiership fixture.Loads of memebrs came to vote and also create
grate atmosphere after watching on telly Liverpool winning Man utd
3-1.
- January
2002: A visit at our club office from the greek commentator of
premiership games on greek televsion Mr Charalambos Tsirimonakis.
Mr Tsirimonakis is probably the best greek journalist in knowledge
of current english premiership football & he's also a Liverpool
fan and member of our club.During his visit at our club members have
the chance to share their oppinions with him about the team &
the cub. ---The club organized a new year celebration as did last
year. Again the event like last time attract many members. ---Another
great greek sport jornalist Mr Alexis Spiropoulos who is also a red
fan visit us at our office.Mr Spiropoulos covers champion league games
on greek televison.----We watched on telly at the club office another
victory against Man.Utd. It's five in a row now against the mancs
& as last season again the same fella gave us joy at Old Trafford.There
is only one Danny Murphy!

2002: Comittee members visit the city of Liverpool and attend
the games at Anfield against Galata Saray
for the champions league and the merseyside
derby. ---During their trip they honnoured
Jammie Carragher for his 200 appearances in the team. The presentation
was at Liverpool s visitor centre museum in front of the 4 of 5 trophies
that Liverpool won in the year 2001. ---Also they gave an interview
in the site www.icliverpool.co.uk about the activities of the branch.
---They manage to meet some comittee members from Maltesian branch
which is one of the most well organised Livepool's supporters club
in Europe.---Also they were lucky enough to see and meet at Anfield
the lengendary players David Fairclough and Roger Hunt.

2002:One of the most talent sports journalist in Greece Mr Antonis Karpetopoulos had been involved in a branch radio sow broadcasting which was a tribute to the world cup in Asia & also the Liverpool players who were playing on it.

2002: Liverpool Football club were saddened to learn of the death of Nessie Shankly.So was everyone here at our branch specially some of us who had the honnour and the luck to meet Nessie and find out how wonderfull person she was.
The legendary Liverpool manager Bill Shankly always insisted that he couldn’t have achieved what he did in life and in football without the full time backing and support of his wife.---First game of the season with no t.v. covering from any Greek chanell.It's the Community Shield final VS Arsenal at Millenium stadium of Cardiff.Reds got beat 1-0 losing their first final under G.Houllier---The film 51 st stage who was made in the city of Liverpool comes to Greece.
Few members (as it is a holiday period)we saw the opening date of the film which saws plans from Anfield.(A must film for all the L.F.C.fans) The 51st State,(2001)Starring: Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Carlyle,Meat Loaf Director:Ronny Yu
---The opening game of the premiership VS Aaton Villa at Villa Park had been watched live on tv at our club office.Great performance by the reds,1-0 victory with Riise scoring the only goal of the game.

2002:Sotiris Korologos member of our branch appeared in the F.I.S.T. Subbuteo Football World Cup which was host in England at Birmingham ---Members of the branch attend at Anfield the premiership game vs Birmingham City 2-2.

2002:Members of the branch travell to Moscow for the Champions League match vs Spartak and saw the reds winning 3-1.

2002: The grandaughter of the legendary Bill Shankly,Karren comes and visit us at our club office in a very emocional day which was a tribute to Bill Shankly.Karren is living in Greece for more than a decade,she is married to a Greek man and has with him two childrens.---The club in a very friendly atmosphere organised at the club office ellection for new commitee.

2003:Net Channel of Greek National Television had a tribute to Liverpool F.C. & to our supporters club on a weekly sports broadcast presented by Mr Adonis Karpetopoulos & Mrs Afroditi Simiti(Report by Vasilis Bakopoulos)---Another tribute for our supporters club from Mr Fotis Voinikas this time at a Greek sports website(www.soccernet.gr).---Shock news for our supporters club as our member Charalambos Tsirimonakis lost his life only in his 29 years of age.
Charalambos was a well Known sports Journalist in our country and well known as a keen Liverpool supporter.
He was also a commentator in a television channel which has the rights for sowing Premiership matches in Greece.
---Article of our branch was present in his memory at the Liverpool’s official website(www.liverpoolfc.tv)
---An announcement about the loss of Charalambos was given by Hellenic Branch to the Greek Sports press.---Committee members were attend Charalambos funeral
---Even of the sad news we mange to organized the new year meeting as we do traditionally every year. We also watch on the day the away victory against the Saints.---The club after a request to Charalambos family was given by them his favourite Liverpool shirt which had his last name at the back and was that one Charalambos use to wear on the studio while his commentary on L.F.C. matches.

2003:LiverpoolvsMiddlesbrough 1-1 for the premiership and a new member of our branch travelled at Anfield for his first time.
----Members of the committee were attend the 40th day memorial service of the Loss of Charalambos Tsirimonakis and were shocked as they saw that words of the You’ll never walk alone are in his grave after his family wish to be this way.

2003:Worthington Cup final at Cardiff Vs Man.utd.
The game was covered live from National Greek channel 1 and we watched it live at the club office.
Lovely to see the reds winning the trophy after two great goals from Gerrard and Owen.
Charalambos sister,Kelly came and watch the game with us at our club office and shared the feelings of the victory with us.
---On 15th of March,111 years since Liverpool’s foundation we rename our club office to "Charalambos Tsirimonakis" Lounge as a memorial honour for Charalambos contribution to our branch.
His mother Mrs Joanna with his sister Kelly were invited along with members and the granddaughter of the great Bill Shankly,Karen who came with her husband and her son.Mrs Joanna,Kelly and Karen were all awarded and been announced as honourable members of our Branch.
It was a very emotional day but we gave a very warm welcome to all of them specially at Charalambos Family
Supporting messages were given to Mrs Joanna and Kelly by Liverpool’s supporters club’s from all over the world.
They had some comfort as they had the chance to discover that L.F.C keeps the Shankly spirit of a family club that everyone care for each other.
Thank you all we’ll never walk alone!.

2003:With our branch assistance a two paged coloured tribute about Hillsborough tragedy was produced in Athletic Echo(Daily sports Greek newspaper)
The tribute was made by the journalists Mr Giamas and Mr Nikopoulos who ‘ld like to thank them as they pay honour to the 96.

2003:Liverpool lost 2-1 their final game of the season at London from Chelesea
Us a result of that defeat they finished 5 th in the league without manage to qualify in the next season’s Champions League.---The committee of our branch awarded Yiannis Giallamas with a trophy as our club’s member of the season 2002-03.

2003:Members of the Branch attend the first two games of the season, Chelsea(H) and A.Villa(A).---The committee of the branch produce to the curator of the L.F.C. Museum Mr Stephen Done, a frame picture of our hardly missed member Charalambos Tsirimonakis
The picture have been on the museum display as Mr Done kindly accept it.
The event had been cover on L.F.C media (Official weekly magazine, match programme vs Leicester City & on the official website).---Mr Brian Hall on behalf of the Hellenic Branch award two granddaughters (Emma and Pauline)of the great Bill Shankly(in front of his statue) as honourable members of our branch.
A tribute of the occasion was featured on L.F.C. weekly magazine and on the official website. Also there was a mention on Greek daily sport newspaper goal news.

2003:Members of the branch attend Anfield for the Arsenal premiership fixture.---Our hon.member Pauline Robinson (granddaughter of Bill Shankly) and her family visit us at our lounge.
It was like a dream comes true when she brought us as a gift items from Shankly belongings!Without a doubt this was our proudest moment as a Liverpool supporters club.
Photographs from the day were feature in a one colour page at Sportime(Sports daily Greek newspaper) the next day and there was also a tribute mention to our missed friend & member Charalambos Tsirimonakis.

2003:The branch was very pleased to host a visit at our lounge from the museum curator of Liverpool F.C. Mr. Stephen Done.
Stephen was announced as an honorable member of our Branch.
The presentation to him was held to him by the mother of Charalambos Tsirimonakis, Mrs Joanna alongside with her daughter Kelly.
Both of them are also honorary members of our branch and they were pleased to present by Stephen frame pictures from Charalambos photograph on the L.F.C museum display.
On the day we had a small exhibition with Liverpool items with Stephen really have a nice surprise when he saw the Shanks items that we recent got from Pauline.
Also we had the shirt of Ronnie Whelan from the European cup final of 1985
There were also other memoranilia things such as programs books tickets etc
A member of our Branch Sotiris Korologos offer on behalf of the branch to Stephen a souvenir glass from the 1966 European Cup Winners Cup Final which Stephen is going to put it in the museum display
The event was covered on Greek daily sports newspapers Goal news and Fos on the next days.
Also our branch organized a celebrity dinner specially for Stephen Done.
