The
branch organized its second trip to Liverpool, to attend the matches against
Arsenal and Sunderland. During their stay in Liverpool, a representative
of the branch, honoured the veteran ace Tommy Smith for his long years
of service at the club and Steve Mc Manaman as the best player of the
season 1995-96. The branch also visited the training ground of the team,
"Melwood", and met all the players and the coaching staff. Also, the legendary
newspaper "Liverpool Echo" printed a two page article with photographs
about our branch's activities. At the end, our members met the legendary
Liverpool's ex-player Billy Liddell .
