A Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems at Benedictine University provides students with the necessary skills for the workforce. The National Association of Colleges ranks Computer Information Systems as one of the ten most desirable degrees sought by employers nationwide. Research by the U.S. Department of Labor predicts that jobs in Computer Information will more than double by the year 2010.

Sophomore Tracey Callahan believes she can start her own computer software chain thanks to her degree in Computer Information. "My business will provide intense teaching software for student study at home. Because of the increase in internet degree programs provided by such institutions as the University of Phoenix, it is only a matter of time before other colleges follow suit. They will need programmers to provide this unique software, and that's where my entrepreneur skills would come into play."
