Math and Technology in Careers

Math an technology are involved in every job.  Just think, when you measure the ingredients for a cake as a baker, you are using math and when you use a compound interest formula to calculate the interest on an IRA over time as an investments manager, you are using math.

Technology can be as complex as using a large network of computers in you business or as simple as the tools needed to fix a leaky sink.  Technology is defined as the specialized aspects of a particular field of endeavor by Merriam-Webster Online.  In other words, technology is any special piece of equipment needed to do your job.  Technology does not have to be something electronic, it can be a mechanic's wrench or a doctor's stethoscope.

Technology is an ever changing aspect of any job.  In order to stay valuable to your employer and customers, it is important to stay current in all aspects of your job, especially changing technologies.
