Great Forest Information
| Race Headquarters: | In the Marquee, Waitarere Beach Road – follow the signs. |
| Free Parking: | In paddocks near Race Headquarters. Please follow signs and marshal’s instructions. |
| Race Conduct: | The race is conducted by Officials and friends of the Levin Joggers and Walkers Club. Please abide by their directions for your safety. Any Marathon or Half Marathon Walking competitor found to be running will NOT be eligible for the Winner’s award. In all matters the decision of Race Officials will be final. |
| Race Numbers: | Must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times. Please DO NOT pin through the “tear off” portion. |
| Age Limit: | Competitors in the full marathon must be at least 16 years old. |
| Course Layout: | The intention is to conduct the races in the forests at Waitarere Beach. However in the unlikely event that fire risk prevents this an alternate course over the local countryside will be used. |
| Pacing: | Each kilometre will be marked for the Half Marathon distances only. This doubles as the full marathon course. Times will be available only at the race finish. |
| Drink Stations: | These will be at approx 3km intervals. |
Post Race Activities:
| A variety of stalls will be selling foodstuffs and local products along with free live entertainment |
| Massages will be available at a small charge. |
| Minor Spot Prizes will be listed from 12:00pm. |
| Showers are available at the local motor camps for a small charge. |
Entries close 28th March 2004 with entry fee and merchandise order payment.
| Race Numbers: | These will be available from the Memorial Hall, Queen St East, LEVIN (Opposite The Warehouse store) between 5:00pm and 9:00pm on the Friday evening preceding the race or from Race Headquarters, Waitarere Beach from 5.00am on the Saturday morning of the race |
| Late Entries: | Will be accepted until 30 minutes prior to the respective event, on payment of $5 late fee where applicable. |

Prize Giving –
Awards – Spot Prizes
(From approx 2:00pm)
| Marathon and Half Marathon: | Winners will receive a perpetual award. All finishers will receive a medal. A certificate and complimentary photograph will be posted after the event. All marathon and half marathon entrants are eligible for spot prizes but must be present and produce their race number to collect any such prize. |
| 5km and10km: | All finishers will receive a medal at race completion. 5 km Certificates will be available after the event for you to enter your own time, 10 km Certificates should be available on the day or will be posted out. 5 km and 10 km Photos will be Digital imaging and captured images can be previewed before prizegiving. |
