RESULTS

This is the essence of what any plan is about . . . results!  
After all, this is why people start a program in the first place.
The results that you get will be directly correlated to being on the right exercise plan and the right nutritional plan.  And although certain methods are more effective than others, tailoring the plan to the individual (you) is the most critical factor.  Also, each and every personalized plan must be periodically adjusted according to the individual's (your) ever-changing body composition (ratios of muscle to fat relative to body weight) and fitness levels. 

In a relatively short time, you realize the first positive changes:  You notice that you have firmer muscles with shape and contour appearing from what was flaccid and shapeless, you enjoy the sensation of a new and developing leanness, you feel more fit, your improved "proud & tall" posture portrays a shapelier outline of your body and makes your clothes look-fit-feel better, and best of all . . . you just feel a whole lot healthier!  At this point you become "charged" to take yourself to the next level.  And so it goes . . .

MOTIVATION

There are two kinds: Internal and External.  

The motivation from within (internal) is by far the most powerful, but it must be properly initiated and then nurtured in order to last.  Short-term doesn't do much for the long run, and many times is even counter-productive (as anyone who has fallen for the "magic-bullet TV miracle" solutions will attest).  Your internal motivation is fueled by enjoyment, excitement, and accomplishment; all of which takes you to the self-propagating effect of momentum. 

The second type of motivation, external, is living up to your commitment involving others.  This includes the promises you made (or keep making) to your friends, work associates, or family members that you will take charge of your health by getting into prime shape for life, whether that means losing some fat, getting "heart healthy", or changing the shape of your body.  

This is where another very powerful external factor comes in—your consultant/trainer.  That's right . . . me!  I will be there for you to insure that every session is productive and enjoyable, and that you are making timely progress.  Each time we meet, we will go over a few items in your personal checklist, including your log (that I will give to you), questions that come up as you go, and program evaluations.  We'll make pro-active adjustments.  If you get a little "off-center" I will help you to get back on track.  And you won't have to wait until we meet because you can call between your sessions so that we can solve any potential delays to expedite the process toward reaching your goals.  Oh, and by the way . . . the journey will be fun and exciting!

KNOWLEDGE

Here's where a little cerebral work comes in.  Wait, don't run!  You'll like this too.  I will give you the plan where you will learn how to prevent cravings for junk foods, maintain stabilized blood sugar and insulin levels, supercharge your metabolism, and a long list of important information paramount to having a healthy body inside and out.  By the way, I don't sell gadgets or supplements, so you can buy everything you need at the grocery store.

You will also learn how to take a few proactive actions to diminish the likelihood of slipping back into your former unhealthy daily dietary or sedentary habits.  What's more, this will become a comfortable part of your lifestyle.  And the really neat part is that you will not feel that you are missing the comfort foods that you used to crave!

On the fitness level, you will learn everything from effective and energizing breathing techniques, unconscious good posture habits, developing a good gait (as you hear with racehorses—efficient walking or running stride and rhythm), pelvic alignment, how your core strength influences your overall body strength, and new workout routines that impress even experienced athletes (if you are at that level of fitness but experiencing plateaus).

BOTTOM LINE

And the bottom line is this . . . if any plan is going to last, it’s got to be personal, pleasurable, and effective!  After all, it’s your lifestyle.  For example, if you knew the techniques, wouldn't it be a lot more fun to eat nutritiously than to fret about calories?  Besides, nutritional urges are natural; counting calories is not. That's just one example of how lasting and healthy habits can become 2nd nature.  

With the right exercise plan, food selections, and motivation, you will automatically reduce fat storage, keep your metabolism in high gear, experience higher energy levels, be lean, fit, shapely, and healthy!
