Let's empower our children by encouraging them to hold themselves responsible for everything that happens to them (with few exceptions), instead of: using religion as a crutch praying, in the belief that a god will obviate their need to control their own life believing that he has their life path preordained. Can you believe in 2002 we're still debating Evolution? Humanitarians ostracized as unsympathetic because they don't pray in the mourning of Sept 11th victims. Can they not mourn just as much without believing in a God? The UN does not include Overpopulation in its "13 Focus Areas" for fear of offending the Vatican.
