Bigdaddy's Model Railroad

Part of LIONEL Set
MY ATTEMPTS AT MODEL RAILROADING
Above is my son with part of our LIONEL layout.
Some of these Lionel Trains and accessories, I
have had since I was 6 years old. The rest we have
acquired over the years. We have 3 "G" guage sets
that we haven't made a garden layout for yet.
Still in the planning stage. We sure have had,
and are having fun!!!
THE ORIGINAL RAILROAD
Following are some pictures of my model railroad
in different phases of construction. The original
"HO" layout was 24' X 24'. It consisted of eight
7' by 30" tables and 4 corner tables. The whole
thing was built on a modular system. I have moved
3 times since it began construction. The first
move had most of the MR stored in the garage for
2 years due to lack of space in the new place. A
much smaller MR was constructed in the mean time.
The next move saw all of it stored for about a
year. Finally we bought our own house and began
setting it up again. We only used 2 of the
original tables as they were. The other 10 tables
were cannibalized to make the existing layout.
THE SMALLER TEMPORARY & CURRENT RAILROAD
Stay tuned. I still have to put these pictures in. I have a "Rail-Scope" locomotive. It has a small B & W TV camera mounted on the front of it. I hope to film the layout from the locomotives' perspective.
