REALIZE THIS IS FICTION
Letting yourself get swept away
is one thing,
believing what you write after
you are done, is another.
Some of us have had the displeasure
of running into people,
who tend to believe what they
or others write as real.
WRITE WHAT YOU KNOW
A good author will stick to what
they know, hell even bluff sometimes.
When in doubt, ask. (tour
date, album sales.. ect)
CHOOSE YOUR INSPIRATION
Songs-
can provide many angles to a story.
Prose-
Pieces of text - whether it be from a movie or TV show, or perhaps from
something completely unrelated
- can serve to get those creative juices fflowing.
Photos-Nothing
can help kick start a story than some steamy picture
of your favorite leppard. TRUST
ME I KNOW...
Challenges-
Get brave, ask a friend or a member of the list to issue you a challenge,
it may turn out to be your best
work to date.
Hell, drop me
a
line, I love to issue challenges.
BEFORE POSTING YOUR
STORY
If you are not sure how good your
story is, ask someone to read it over.
They are calledBETA
READERS, and they can be angels in those unsure times.
If you are unsure of who to ask,
email
me and I will help or point
you into the right direction.
ARCHIVING IT
Due to the fact that I have a
very busy work scedule and a family outside of this,
I can no longer collect every
story that is written.
If you have time to spare and
wish to
lend me a hand and have MICROSOFT
WORD, please contact me.
I will grant you GOD status for
the help. :)
1. SENDING
YOUR WORK-
I only accept attachments via email. Once again
WORD only please.
2. SPELLCHECK-
Please run that handy spellcheck before hand, save me time
and save you the risk of people
emailing you telling you how many
words you mis-spelled. Trust
me there are those that will....
3. NO
FORMATTING - Don't bother adding any funky
colors or tables or whatever
to the document, as it all gets
reformatted to fit in with the 'look' of the site.
It just means more work for me
if I have to remove it.
4. WHICH
LEP- Please let
me know which lep this story is about.
It helps me place the story on
the correct page.
5. HAVE
FUN! -*Enjoy* your writing. As long as you
enjoyed what
you wrote and are happy with
it, IT WILL BE A GOOD STORY!!
Believe in yourself and others
will believe in you too.
Don't stress too much over it.
You write because you love it - so enjoy. ;-)
