How Can I Become A Member?
Selection for membership is by a faculty council and is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service. The council reviews academic achievement, extracurricular activities, job experience, community service, and any other accomplishments the applicant feels the council should be included. The council reviews the student's accomplishments (with a photograph of the applicant required) based on the values of the club. Candidates must have a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) or the equivalent standard of excellence. The selection of each member of the chapter shall be by a majority vote of the faculty council. Students shall be notified of their results by letter.

What is the purpose of the National Honor Society?
As stated by the official National Honor Society Handbook, the purpose of this organization is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. Individual members choose a subject(s) in line with their particular talents and interests, in order to fufill a need within the school community of tutoring. The organization is responsible for bringing about helpful change in the school whether it be through donating equipment to the school, or actively aiding other organizations to carry out their goals and objectives. It is the job of the members to carry out the principles the Honor Society pledges.

How can I get a tutor? Does it cost any money?
The Honor Society Tutoring service is completely free, no hidden fees. Each individual member of the organization is assigned to different fields of study based on their interests. Depending on your subject, you will be connected with one of the members for tutoring help. You can contact the organization and request help in a variety of ways:
