  What 's Kittymistress reading now?

It's Daniel Kalla's Pandemic. This is a story of what would happen if a new flu-like virus was used by terrorists as a weapon.  Interesting and all too believable concept.

                                       March 20, 2005

It's nearly the end of March and I realize that I've sorely neglected my web updating duties.

Old Man Winter is hanging on and seems to be never-ending but the temperatures are starting to edge up  to snow-melting strength and the days are growing longer and sunnier. Today is turning out quite nice with lots of sunshine, brilliant blue skies , light breezes and an expected high of -1c. ( I really should be outside instead of sitting in front of the compute but..)

I got another year older on the 15th of this month (the Ides of March) but no wiser.  My birthday was a quiet, largely uncelebrated event which was perfectly fine with me.  I can't believe that I'm 54 because most of the time, I don't feel (or act) a day over 25.  As a present to myself, I've started tanning so that my legs won't be that incredible fish-belly white when summer does finally arrive.

That's all for now, Happy Easter all!  (Only 51 more days til London)

Beer Can BBQ'd Chicken

My husband and his friends cooked up  some 'Beer Can' Chicken today.  Very yummy but kind of strange-looking while roasting on the barbeque.
