In all the applications discussed so far, the text input has been in English. Today, similar software for Chinese character is available for Chinese character.
In a word processor, documents can be created and edited in Chinese. In a database or spreadsheet, the data items and headlines are in Chinese.
The only new concept in such packages is how to input the character. One of the most popular methods is the Tsangjei input method (ܾe¿é¤Jªk).

Tsangjei input method
In this method, the structure of the
Chinese character is analysed and expressed in terms of 24 radicals. Each racial is
assigned to a letter of the alphabet. The
structures that are grouped together under the
same radical are listed in the column 'Radicals and Variants'.
Below is an example of how a Chinese character is cut up into Tsangjei codes. The maxim number if codes to represent a character is five. With 24 radicals, we can construct 245 characters. This is a lot more tan the number of commonly used Chinese words.
Other popular Chinese character processing packages are ETen, Kuo Chiau and Qcode (Q9).
