The Facts
Burori's Insane FAQ

Q: What is this site anyway?

A: Burori's Insane is a fan site initiated by Burori's Defender to provide a forum for discussion and artistic expression for all Burori fanatics. The purpose of this site is to provide original content and fluid debate on all topics relating to Burori.

Q: Who is Burori?

A: Burori is the main villain in DragonBallZ movies 8 and 10. Refer to the profile for more info.

Q: Don't you mean Brolli?

A: Since DragonBallZ has so many possible name translations, we decided to go with the straight Japanese name. If you say Burori the way a Japanese speaker would pronounce it, then it does sound like Brolli, or Broly, or Brolly, or what have you. For the purpose of this site, the really large Super Saiya-jin villain will be referred to as Burori. Any other name translations are a matter of preference from the contributor. You should be able to understand who they're talking about.

Q: So why Burori?

A: There are many reasons. For one, there are very few Burori fan sites out there, so the existence of this site allows fans of the big guy to come together and meet one another, along with exchanging ideas, submitting poetry, prose, or art, and any number of fan-type activity. As for why we like Burori, well, we all have our reasons. Burori's Defender likes him because he's evil, and that sort of thing turns her crank. I can't help but like anyone who can kick Piccolo 3 clicks across the surface of a planet. I also hear he makes a rather tasty quiche.

Q: Ok, so what does all this mean for me as a fan?

A: Well, this is a fan site, so it's meant to cater towards people just like you. Here you'll find lots of Burori related items pried straight from the movies and manga, along with loads of original work by some incredibly creative people. You can read the poetry, go over some of the fan fiction, and look at the pictures all you like. You can also submit your own work for everyone to admire by sending an e-mail to B.D. using the Feedback Form.

Q: Wow, this picture is great, can I put it on my site?

A: Hold your horses there cowboy. A lot of people put hard hours into the creation of this site, and some of them aren't too keen on the idea of thousands of instant Burori fan sites popping up all over the web using their stuff. If you're going to use any original work, be sure to use the contact information to get the creator's ok before grabbing it. You can download up to 3 manga scans for your personal use, but any above and beyond that and you'll have to talk to Burori's Defender. Any overall questions regarding the use of the material should be sent to her. Don't be afraid, she's not an ogre I mean heck, I recovered from the compound fracture she gave me in no time. So in short, be sure to contact someone before running off with their stuff.

Q: I drew this totally sweet picture, can I submit it?

A: We all applaud your artistic talent. However, let's go over a few guidelines to make everyone's life a lot easier. Is the picture of Burori? If not, then you're probably wasting your time. Is the picture appropriate? By that I'm not talking about is it provocative, because some of the material on this site does explore mature themes, but if you want to show off your hentai skills then you're barking up the wrong tree. If you'd hesitate to show what you've drawn to your mother, then you're probably toeing the thin line between bold and tasteless. Is the file of a reasonable size? Do to size constraints, we'd really appreciate if you could get the picture down to 200KB, though any questions regarding that limit and possible exceptions to the rule should be sent to Burori's Defender. Check out the guidelines for submitting fanart.

Q: I have this great fan fiction I'd like to submit!

A: That's not a question. If you're going to submit a fan fiction, please try to do a little bit of self-editing beforehand. Gross grammar errors will make your story unreadable to the people whose job it is to post it. Make sure that the story is about Burori. A footnote on page 56 about how Goku beat Burori doesn't count. Be sure that what you're writing is fan fiction. Making new characters is fine, but the focus is on the characters that someone else has created, not how your awesome character got their groove on with someone from DBZ. When you do submit a fan fiction, send it to Burori's Defender as an .rtf file. Be aware that Burori's Defender is extremely busy, and will probably not be able to read a 30-page story in one sitting. To speed up the posting of your story, you should enter your own html tags into the fiction at the appropriate spots. If you need help with html tags, just look on the web and you'll find plenty of tutorial sites. And no lemon stories please. If you don't know what that means, please don't ask. Check out the guidelines for submitting prose.

Q: Hey, you people are full of crap! I don't agree with anything you've put on Burori's profile!

A: I think we need to review the concept of "questions". But at any rate, you probably have some very valid arguments. Akira Toriyama wasn't all that good at fleshing out Burori's full background, and a lot of stuff in DBZ is up in the air in terms of power levels, timeline, etc. Please look in the debates to see if any of the issues you bring up are adequately addressed. If they're not, then hit the forums and give us your two cents.

Q: The people in the forum are being mean to me! Should I flame them?

A: No. The vision of this site is to create an open atmosphere to exchange ideas and artistic expressions, not to talk smack about so and so's mother. If someone posts something incredibly offensive, send an email to us and we'll try to fix the problem. But try your best to be civil and take the moral high road. Showing maturity by refusing to stoop to the level of rude people will make you better in the long run. Besides, it's a cartoon people, nothing to get all riled up about.

Q: Can I link to your site?

A: Certainly! There's nothing we'd like better than to spread the word about how much we like our good buddy Burori. Just download one of our many stylish banners and have at it.
B.D.: Um, Nathan?
Nathan: Yes?
B.D.: There are no banners yet.
Nathan: There aren't?
B.D.: Nope.
Nathan: Well, drats.

Q: So since I put up your link, will you put up mine?

A: There's always an ulterior motive, isn't there? Well, here's the skinny: if your site doesn't have anything to do with Burori, then the answer is probably no. If Burori's Defender looks it over and thinks you're spiffy keen, then she'll probably link you anyway. But don't count on the "I'll scratch your back, you'll scratch mine" kind of deal. I'll scratch my own back, thank you very much.
(Side Note from B.D.: Burori's Insane now has a Free For All Links Page; you can post your link yourself. But there are a few rules and your link may be deleted if the site is inappropriate.)

Q: I am totally in love with the picture/poem/story that this person drew/made/wrote. How can I contact them?

A: Well, beginning a thread on the message board would be a good place to start. If you're looking for a more personal way of showing your respects, you can look on the artist's/writer's contact info and send them an email. Trust me, Burori fans love positive feedback. But don't get any wise ideas, like spamming me or sending marriage proposals to Burori's Defender. The last guy who tried that one on her is still walking kind of funny.

Q: Where are all the pictures, music, and video files?

A: Why don't you email Burori's Defender and ask her? I know she just loooooooooves when people do that. Actually, don't do that, or she will kill you and me both. The pictures are all in the appropriate art or scan sections. At this point in time the site is not planned to include any sound or video files, because it's so rare to find someone who deals with those mediums, can create original content, and does so about Burori. But if you want to prove me wrong, go ahead and knock yourself out.

Q: I love you guys.

A: We know.
