The story:
You are Leon Kennedy, a government agent from Resident Evil 2. After helping to destroy the T-virus he was made a special agent for the president. Leon finds himself in Europe (Spain) trying to rescue Ashley Gardner the daughter of the US president. She has been kidnapped by a group of people called Los illuminados. Once you find her you need to get her back to her father alive. You start off in a forest. Two cops dropped you off there and they decide to stay in the car (maybe they guessed that there would be some nasty stuff ahead). You have to go to the village to investigate Ashley's dissapearance... As with all Resident Evil games the story unfolds well as the game progressess and you will get sucked into the deep plot.

New enemies:
The first step for Resident Evil to move on to something new was getting rid of zombies. RESIDENT EVIL = ZOMBIES you might say, but not anymore. The new enemies are know as Ganandos. They can run throw knives, stab you with a pitchfork, climb stairs, open doors and best of all wield chainsaws. Once they spot you they will normally run towards you until they are a few steps away then start walking. They are still a little like zombies as they are obsessed with killing you and seem to have a disease or something. The Ganandos aren't the only enemies, there are other enemies similar to Ganandos but different. And of course there are a lot of brilliant bosses to fight too.

Guns:
Yes guns. If you played the old Resident Evils you may have had as many nightmares about running out of ammo as you did about zombies. You had no idea where you were aiming your gun, making it difficult to aim. In some of the games you started with a pistol and didn't get another gun for ages, but those days are over. In Resi 4 you start with a shotgun and a handgun. You won't run out of ammo for a long time and there is now a very useful laser sight for most guns so you know where your bullet is going to hit. You start off with a handgun, a knife and a shotgun. You can upgrade these guns and buy others with money you find throughout the game. Also your inventory is larger now so you won't have to throw away as many items
Verdict: Resident Evil 4 is the best survival horror game ever. It is more polished than the other Resident evils and is so much more fun. The new camera view makes it easier to control but it's still terrifying. Because the game is more exciting than other Resident Evil games it should appeal to far more people, even those who hate the old Resi games. The lifespan is great because it should take you at least 15 hours in normal mode, you'll want to complete it twice and there are extra modes to unlock... If you want to be scared out of your body and are up for a challenge you should try this out.
