Power shots:These are the special moves that each character has 2 of. One is the offensive really difficult to stop shot or the defensive shot which enables you to rescue a ball from the other side of the court. While being good at the old Mario Tennis will still be helpful this addition gives noobs at mario tennis games a chance of winning. This of course makes a great multiplayer game. Play singles between your friends or in doubles and you will discover this game is a lot of fun. The reason mario tennis are the best tennis games out there is because this game still has quite simple controls so it's not too difficult to master.
1 player mode: Completing every tournament, every cup with each player and then with every doubles parings will last for ages if you want to do that. The truth is though that you don't have to do all the cups with each character to unlock loads of mini games and new characters.
Mini games: Other reasons why this game will last beyond a few games in exhibition mode is the new mini games. These are mario party style games which mostly have nothing to do with tennis but you'll still have a racket in hand. You can do these with 2-4 players and some mini games are quite fun although others are not so good.
