The Suffering 2 : Ties That Bind
REVIEW BY DCI
PC Release: Out now Rating: 18

The sequel to The Suffering, Suffering Tie that binds isn't a game that will disappoint you. Just like the 1st one, you'll have to think carefully and be crafty in order to get to where you need to go. Choose whether you want to be the "Good Guy" or listen to your inner hate. Also as same as the 1st one, you have to fight the gruesome and twisted abominations. *Note* This is why I like this series, it's not like ghosts or zombies, these monsters are things you could never dream off. They are creative and unique compared to any other game.

Unlike the 1st Suffering, you can now hold 2 weapons at once and let me tell you: does this feature come in handy a lot. There is a wide variety of guns and melee weapons to help you along your way. Also unlike the 1st Suffering, in insanity mode you can customize your attacks, Good or Evil, which is pretty creative. In Suffering Tie that binds, you not only fight some of your old monster friends, but now you deal with some of them that have been modified. But also you deal with some new more difficult and insane monsters that will go to any lengths to make sure you have a fun time trying to beat the game.

At the beginning of the game, it starts off where it did at the end of the 1st one, it keeps it with the storyline. After you dock the boat, you continue and make your way through the city of Baltimore which is where your journey begins. You are out of the prison and roam the streets, you even get to visit your old neighbourhood.

IGN has named 'The Suffering Ties that Bind' the scariest game of 2005.
Verdict:

Graphics 8/10, There are some places where you can tell that the graphics are choppy, but the detail on the monsters is great. Also anytime youre close to something and kill it, the blood will splatter on you and it will stay on you. Blood effects are great, especially after you blow limbs and heads off!

Sound- 10/10, The sound is great! Hear the footsteps, hear all the monsters for example: you can here the clink of the Slayers metal blades when you are on the wall, a bunch of weird and freaky noises to keep you on your toes.

Gameplay- 9/10 Gameplay is great, pretty much flawless, a little glitch here or there, but otherwise, it's freaking sweet. There is a mode on the suffering called IMPOSSIBLE, I have not yet to try this feature.

Overall - 9, This game is for them hardcore shoot 'um up people. This game is gory and intensely violent. It may scare some of you, there have been a couple parts I have jumped at.
