The PSP is the first true rival to a Nintendo handheld and is fighting the Nintendo DS in the handheld market. In terms of graphics and size, the PSP is better. However, the PSP is more expensive. The PSP uses discs in contrast to the DS' cartridges. Handhelds are still quite new to Sony and they are still learning much about handheld games. It is the games that make a console what it is. Here are some of the games that have been released on the PSP: Metal Gear Acid Tekken: Dark Resurrection Race Driver 2006 Ridge Racer WipEout Pure Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Need For Speed: Underground Tony Hawks Underground 2 Remix PES 5 As you can see, in the top right picture, there is one of the games that will be released. They are very similar to Gamecube discs in terms of size. In that picture there is also a small memory card. This is one of the bad things about the PSP. Memory cards are expensive and can be annoying as you have to carry them around as well as games. As many of you already know, the PSP can not only play games but also songs and movies. Using the USB port you can transfer songs from your computer to the PSP. You can also buy movies for the PSP such as Resident Evil and others yet to be confirmed. The PSP also has internet capability. Currently the DS cannot play movies or music but the DS browser is now available. So the PSP has bettered the DS in terms of graphics and extra multimedia capabilities but are the games actually any good and can the PSP dominate like the Playstation has?
