Muse:Black Holes & Revelations
Black Holes and Revelations will probably not match up to the scary heights set by Origin of Symmetry and Absolution in most Muse fans� eyes but this does not in anyway make it a bad album. This album should actually be respected more because Muse have done something many bands are too scared to do and tried something entirely new. The style of music on Black Holes and Revelations is not only new to Muse but new to music and will probably have done music a lot of good. In a time when Indie bands rule Britain and the style of music is all to similar for most people�s liking Black Holes and Revelations seems very fresh and does not bore easily. Muse have almost invented a new type of music, expanding what is normally meant by �alternative�. Muse do not achieve as many hits as they did on previous albums but Supermassive Black Hole is fantastic, Exo Politics is infectious and Knights of Cydonia is more than just epic. There is every chance you may not like this new style of Muse music but I would recommend it to anyone to try out and it is something you do not want to miss out on. Hopefully after trying out new music genres Muse will return to their rock roots in their next album and finally achieve world success and become one of the biggest bands in the world, as they have the potential to do. It does however seem Muse are actually rebelling against the trend and have purposely tried to avoid this tag.
