To my daughter

On a sweet cold February morning,
You were born, so tiny but with a set of promising lungs.
Since the second, you left your mother's womb, you were ready to be loud, and it would only become louder
And louder over the years.

Since you were young, you were a big Challenge, but with your lovely smiling Face, you made it  easy to love you,
As someone who is one of a kind.
You have grown to be a lovely lady.

I often had to say no to your little Caprices, deal with your upsetting mood Swings, but you are one of a kind,
And with all my heart, I love you.

You are my little baby,
And always will be.
Even now that you grown up,
I still see you as my baby.
You leave without a care in the world
But deep inside,
I know you love and care for us all.

On your graduation day, I watched you
Receive your diploma and was very proud That you reached this goal by yourself.
I know learning doesn't come easy for you, but reach out for your goals.
I will always be there and support you
In whatever you choose to do.

I know how you felt, especially
When it came to your sister.
You envied her because our extended Family was there for her graduation,
This made you feel left out.
Sweetheart, I do regret leaving the family
Which left you without close Grandparents.  I try to compensate for all Of this but it is not always easy.

My lovely daughter,
You mean the world to me.
Do not worry if the rest of the family didn't come to see you graduate,
I was there and extremely proud of you.
One day, you will forget this little event.
You will understand,
They couldn't be there.

Since you have grown up,
You have always loved dolphins.
You are just like them, gentle and loving.
Stay like this for ever, my sweetheart.

One day, you will leave the nest,
Just remember to come back and see us.
You will always be in my heart for ever.
You showed me patience and persistence.
With all the love I give you,
I know, that the time will come
For you to go and spread
This love to others.

My sweet loving daughter,
I give you my blessing.
Always keep making me proud of you.
Be kind to others, share your love.
Remember that things
Do not always come easy,
You have to work hard
In order to reach the goals you set.

I wish you well and remember,
That I will always be there for you.
I am proud to be your father
And to have you as my daughter.
You were put onto my path,
So I learn to be patient and persistent.

My sweet one, always remember,
That your father loves you more
Than anything and will always
Be there for you.
I can't give you a lot but you have
The love that I share with you.
It is worth more than
Anything in the world.
