The day I was born, you loved me as your first born son.
You took me in your arms and offered my first hug.
How sweet it felt to be close to you.

You always have been close to me,
guiding me on the path that was designed for me.
You offered your precious advice which I took as powerful words.

You were always present on the important events, which were so meaningful to me.
I tried my best to make you proud of who I am.
I know sometimes I did disappoint you and I am sorry my loving father.

One day, it was my turn to fall in love, you did give me good advice
and I followed what you taught me.
You walk the aisle beside me, and I was proud to be your son.

When my children were born, you stood by my side
And I will never forget those moments.
As a loving father, you were always there,
not only for me but for your other children as well.

The day you left this earth, to join your creator, you left us with sadness in our heart.
After a long battle with your cancer, we could finally be happy
that you were free from this human suffering.

Father, each time I look at your picture, tears come falling on my cheeks,
but quickly I remember what you told us, a few days before you finally departed.

"Be good my sweet children,
love each other as much as I loved you all.
Remember the kindness you were brought up with.
Never forget to share your wealth with others.
Forgive others as you wish them to forgive you.
Where I am going, I will ask the Lord,
to send his blessing on each one
as I give each one my blessing."

Father, thank you for all you gave me.  You are my hero and my mentor.
You helped to free the world, in World War II,
and you also helped us to build a better world
where we could live in and transmit it to our children.

Rest in PEACE now, watch over us all now that you became an angel of peace.
Send among us, your blessing.

WE LOVE YOU, MY SWEET FATHER
EACH ONE OF US WILL CARRY YOUR FLAME IN OUR HEART

your son,
Robert
