Fall

The leaves are falling down,
Red, orange, green, and brown.
Carpeting our whole town,
In a brightly colored gown.

The pines are still a bright green.
The cool air is crisp and clean.
The best lake you've ever seen.
shimmers with an azure sheen.

I walk along the woodland path,
The beauty leaves no room for wrath.
A bluebird gives itself a bath.
Oh what joys the forest hath.

It's raining

Oh, what joy to see the rain,
Fall upon the earth again.
The earth smells fresh and new.
Raindrops glisten like dew.

The smell of the fresh washed soil,
Wipes away all thoughts of toil.
Makes us want to have fun.
Under the bright new sun.

A rainbow arches over the land,
Color fills the sky, band after band.
The rain has given our earth a bath,
Bringing forth the joys it hath.
