Day 6: St. Moritz - Martina - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We left our dinky rooms at St. Moritz and headed out to Austria. We came to the boarder, Martina, to get rid of our Swiss Francs and pee. Our bus driver bribed the Austrian boarder guards with two bottles of beer. (cheap!) and we drove on without too much hassle. We reached Innsbruck, of the state Tyrol, at around noon time (damn that place was so hot) and spent a good hour at the Swarovski crystal shop.

Nobody came out of the place empty-handed. Except for me.
I was tempted to get myself a set of crystal penguins (they're surprisingly cheap...) but then I couldn't figure out what to do with them. We tried some local cuisine, like the beef goulash and the spatzle noodles. Mmmm.... anyway, we saw a New Orleans jazz band out on the streets performing. Poor guys, they must've been roasting in their uniforms since it was at least 32 degrees Celsius out that day. We drove onto Salzburg for the evening. It's a classy city with lots to see. We went to the Sound of Music dinner. A definite must when one visits Salzburg.

The Golden Roof in Innsbruck (it's the shiny part on the building at the end of the
street.)
