Lam 2:7 The Lord hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast.
This no doubt will be a problem for many who read this. It would seem desirable for Christ to continue to rule from Jerusalem forever, yet we are clearly given 1000 years in Rev 20 as a period of time. This period will begin with Christ's return and the building of the temple in Jerusalem from here He will rule over the whole world. In order for the events to occur that are mentioned in the last part of Rev 20 it will be necessary for Christ to relax His iron rule over the earth and to withdraw for a season from Jerusalem so a final period of testing could occur.
More about this will be added to this web site later. Actually the primary application of Revelations is at the end of the 1000 year Kingdom of Christ and that is when the abomination that makes desolate of Daniel and the Tribulation will occur.
Israel lost her independence in 606 BC when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon attacked Israel and removed their king and appointed one to represent himself.
