Welcome to Pearl's homepage. Pearl is a japanese chin, and comes from the DoubleTree lines, owned by Brad Jenkins (a well-known AKC judge and breeder). She descends from the famous chins of Touche. Pearl's breeder is Jolynn Archer from Texas.
I am so elated with this win because I handled her myself today, and I do happen to be a competely novice handler having just started last August. I want to thank Jolynn for letting me have Pearl and her support, and Brad for his encouragement. I also want thank my friend, Trudie Rossi, for one-week crash course for Pearl, and her advice, as well as Tammy Rutter and Lois Thomas (Aikou Pekes) for showing Pearl to 2 majors. Last but not least, special thanks go to Joe, my fiance, who happens to be Pearl's number 1 fan (and slave in the house) for his love and support. (More pictures of the Nor-Cal specialty and Pearl to come). I do not have the time to completely revise this webpage, so please bear with this half-constructed site for now. I plan to eventually compile a picture archive for Pearl showing how she has changed over the course of 1 year. Japanese chins metamorphosize, just like papillons. In the meantime, please visit her picture gallery.
Here are some recent pictures of Pearl at 10 months old. I think she looks very much like her grandfather CH. Acceber's Tennessee Tuxedo. She is now 5 and half pounds and probably won't grow any bigger.
More pictures of Pearl at 1 year old (taken during the Golden Gate Kennel Club show on Feb 1st 03).
