What is a companion elf you ask? He's a clone of Legolas and made just for you. This is a role playing - or a creative writing project as I like to call it - and should be taken as such. (Meaning that the entire thing is imaginary) If you are new/confused on the concept of RolePlaying there is an explanation at the bottom of the page. Each Companion comes with his lady's name tattooed on his body so you know he is truly yours. This is a handy tool in telling him apart from other Legolas clones. To request a Legolas you may follow the link at the bottom of the page. Keep in mind that since this is all imaginary you will not be receiving pictures, standups or anything you can physically touch. All you'll receive is a message in response to your post that your elf is "coming." The requesting part is merely to act as an introduction for you and your clone into the RP. Now that you've got your companion, what do you do? Tell us how you first met your clone. How did he "arrive"? What did he do to introduce himself to you? You can post about him and his antics on the general message board or you can "teach him to use the computer" and allow him to speak to his fellow elves on the elves only board. Keep in mind the elves only board is just that and the ladies are not allowed to post as themselves there. Also if you become a member of the site this is not required by any means, it is just a little piece of amusement to suck away more of your time. Directly below you'll find a few guidelines for playing meant to keep the omething that everyone can continue to enjoy. Please read them before posting from an RP perspective.
RPG Rules
RULES FOR PLAYING: I only have a few... 1) A Legolas clone is preferred as this is his harem but if you must have others I ask that only Tolkien's elves be brought to the RPG on this site. No other characters please. 2) Your companion is made to be joy in your life; this should be a happy fantasy. All Companion Elves are made with the idea that you've got a gifted, protective, amusing and charming elf prince completely devoted to you. Please keep to that ideal. The devoted, loving elf you were given should still be just that even as the role progresses.
What is RP?
What is Role Playing? Role playing is taking on another personality of sorts by imagining what they would be like - characteristics, mindset, worldview, etc. How they would react to objects, situations, conversation, etc. and speaking as if you were that person. When posting on the Elves Only board as your Legolas clone that is what you will need to do. Legolas is familiar only with what Tolkien wrote him as familiar with. Therefore he will not be used to a modern world or have knowledge of it. Keep that in mind and some very amusing stories can come of it. When you post on the General Board about your clone, you are posting as yourself and your point of view on what your elf is doing/has done.
How do I participate?
You can get involved in the RPG by visiting the site's messageboard and posting a request on the Companion Elf RPG topic. Please be sure you are eligible to join in the discussion by reading the site's rules. Once the request is made, it is sent to the Companion Elf distribution network and your elf is automatically dispatched. Please allow 1-3 days for arrival.
