Rage over Paris
Despite one would like to believe, the rage over Paris is more frustation born from failure and despair than anything else. The more sensitive among the Garou didn't felt the Wyrm's influence growing in their own breasts before it was too late. Now, the Garou around Paris are a feeble lot: Two fifths of the parisian Garou are Glass Walkers, two other fifths are Bone Gnawers, the remaining being from other Tribes.
Note that the Black Spiral Dancers, serving the mysterious Khaibit, and the Corax, are out of these maths. The number of Corax is outrageously high for such infertile shapeshifters, and the Black Spiral Dancers were never so powerful and numerous.
There is some legends about the powerful Caern of Fontaynblaü dedicated to the unicorn, and about the tribe of Garou which protected it. The Caern is now lost, few knowing where to find it in the middle of the corruped forest of Fontaineblau...
Anyway, there is some dark force in Paris that works against the Garou, as all difficulty to walk through the barrier between the real world and the Umbra (and vice versa) are increased by one.
The Garou:
Of all the parisian Garou, only the
Glass Walkers have a
stabilized birthrate all the while seeing their influence
grow: Their links to the politics (the ''green'' party), as
well as their influence in both industry and crime field make
them a quite powerful tribe in Paris, which elevate them as
corrupted in the eyes of the other traditionalist garou. Well,
the Garou don't care, and no matter what the other says, they
are fighting Pentex on its own
ground, and they are actually annoying seriously the corporation.
The Bone Gnawers are fearsome creatures
in their own way, too. While not as confortable in the city's
politics than the Glass Walkers, they have neverthelesss adapted
quite well to the urban grounds, hiding among the homeless and
the gangs. The Bone Gnawers are said to have limited contacts
to the Wyrm spawn leeches known as the
Nosferatu. While the Nosferatu
could hide well enough from the Garou, they choose instead to
feed them critical information, which led to some casualty in
the Leeches ranks.
Which leads to the growing presence of other Garou. The tentative
ties the Children of Gaia have with the
Gangrel Leeches, combined with the
knowledge the Bone Gnawers brought back lead the whole french
nation to believe a quite great Wyrm spawn sleeps under Paris.
Destroying it before it could wake would weaken the Wyrm, perhaps
even contribute to turn the tides of events. The last Silver
Fangs (those sane enough to care for it), as well as some
Red Talons (who, thanks to the work of the Glass Walkers, could...)

The Others:
The other shapeshifters are the Corax and the Black Spiral
Dancers. The Corax have a rather numerous population in Paris,
which can seem surprising when one knows about their
reproduction processes. Their potential for discovering
information, plus the large population of normal crows and
ravens in Paris protects them from most tries to study them.
Then, they seem to have supernatural allies...
The Black Spiral Dancers were not true Black Spiral Dancers
on the strict sense of the term. With the slow decay of the
french Garou, a whole Sept was corrupted, and soon joined their
new masters as bodyguards and army forces. While few could
make the distinction with the true Black Spiral Dancers, these
are faithful servant of Nebneferptah,
and even one of them, Korgh, reached the
status of full Khaibit.
