The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time came out in 1998 on the Nintendo 64.
The Plot for this game goes as follows. One day the Deku Tree senses his end approching him and sends for the boy of Hyrules destiny to come before him and start his perilous quest to save Hyrule from the clutches of the evil Ganon.
After witnessing the death of the Great Deku Tree Link begins his quest and soon after meets Princess Zelda a person bound to him by the power of the triforce who in a sense plays a big role in his destiny.
Zelda then told him he must collect three Spiritual Stones to obtain the Master Sword. After doing so he received the Ocarina of Time from the princess and using it claimed the Master Sword. Unfortueatly Ganondorf stole the power Link and just released from the temple of time and covered the land in darkness.
After seven years the temple lifted the spell of sleep cast on Link and Link traveled all over Hyrule rescueing and gathering Sages until they all got together to open Ganon's Castle.
After a long battle with Ganon Link was finally victorious and was then sent back seven years to be able to live his life correctly and be able to avoid the mess entirely.
