The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask came out in 2000 on the Nintendo 64.
The Story goes as follows. After the adventures Link experienced in Hyrule Link went on an adventure away from Hyrule in search of a friend, but on the way got lost and ended up in an alternate demension called Termina and got turned into a Deku Shrub.
After becoming normal again Link talked to the townfolk and discovered to his horror that the moon overhead was going to destroy all of Termina in a mere 3 days exactly.
After Link collected many masks and gathered all the gods together by rescuing them from curses layed on them due to Evil consumed Masks he directed them to hold up the moon to keep it from destroying everything he climbed onto the moon and defeated Majora's Mask an Evil Mask with a mind of its own able to transform into incredibly strong foul monsters.
After his victory he gave the dead mask back to the Mask Sale's Man and became friends with the Skull Kid who had been controlled by Majora's Mask like a puppet.
He then departed for Hyrule and ended his role in Termina.
