Zelda II: Adventure of link came out in 1987 on the Nes a year after The orginal came out. It was also rereleased many years later on Gameboy Advance as just a simple Port in the Classic Nes Series on 10-24-04.
The story goes as follows. After a few years of peace, Ganon's Minions summon a wizard who puts a spell of sleep on Princess Zelda after refuseing to tell them of Links whereabouts, being that Link was the only one's blood they could use to Revive their master.
Soon After Link gathered the Gems (needed to break the spell on Zelda) and began to travel the world in search of the shrines where he was required to set the gems.
After breaking the spell Link and Zelda were finally able to rest in peace due to the time of peace that followed.
