Extracurricular Activities
Picture of Lacrosse in Action Lacrosse

Throughout my high school and junior high career I participated in a sport known as Lacrosse. At North Hills I started for the varsity team, as goalie, in my freshmen year and was a part of the varsity team until I left for personal reasons after my junior season. Lacrosse taught me some very valuable things such as sportsmanship and conditioning. Currently I am the League Coordinator and founder of the new University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Lacrosse Club. Any men interested in playing should notify me as soon as possible.

Eagle Scout Badge Boy Scouts

Perhaps the largest accomplishment of my life comes from my years in the Boy Scouts of America, where I received their highest rank: Eagle Scout. With the Boy Scouts I learned many important life lessons, how to treat others, how to work in the outdoors, ect. I held many honors and positions of responsibility including: Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Quarter Master and also attended a Junior Leadership Training Camp. On top of all of that I am also currently an Assistant Scout Master whenever I have the time to get into Pittsburgh to help out Troop 368, being in Johnstown that is easier said then done though.

Acacia International Fraternity

In my second semester at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown I pledged the Pitt-Johnstown chapter of the Acacia International Fraternity. The fraternity, whose model is human service, bestows many interesting concepts and challenges for me in college. The fraternity challenges its members to be better men and to help the community. Since becoming affiliated with this Greek organization I have worked on three community fundraisers helping with a blood drive and to raise money for the March of Dimes and the United Way. In the chapter my role number is 449.

Sigma Alpha Pi: The Society of Leadership and Success

I am currently working to be a full member of the Pitt Johnstown chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi, a student leadership society dedicated to helping students with potential become great leaders and do great things. To become a member of this society you must have a GPA of at least 3.2 and show great interest in school and show that you are a leader on campus. Sigma Alpha Pi is one of the biggest organizations on Pitt Johnstown, though not officially recognized by the school itself.

National Youth Rights Association

I am a member of the National Youth Rights Association, a political group whose goal is to free Americas youth from the uneducated opinion that our youth are not citizens. The National Youth Rights association fights for a lower drinking age, lower voting age and adamantly works to end curfews that plague the youth. In the future I plan on starting a Pittsburgh/Johnstown chapter, but right now time keeps me from doing so.
